Common Reef Pests

Here are a list of common pests and predators in our reefs:

        *Flatworms 

        *Redbugs - Exclusively Acropora predators

        *Nudibranchs - two types: Zoanthid and montipora predators

        *Snails - Box, sundial, and conchs

This is a Montipora eating nudibranch.  I found them in my tank a few weeks ago.  I didn't think much of them at first until I noticed small spots on my Montipora Cap turning white.  At closer inspection I noticed these little guys all over.  I have since used Seachem Reefdip to dip the affected corals and a toothbrush and tweezers to manually remove any that stayed behind.

These are unidentified snails found recently in  my recently acquired aquacultured A. Turaki colony.  The inner portions of the coral were bleaching out so after finding these two in there I put two and two together and figured they aren't helping.  Hopefully I'll get an ID soon and be able to post more info about them.
